He's been in every tabloid and every newscast around the Vonos region: the Unbelievable Tyler's Latest Death-Defying Stunts. Tyler is after one thing only; the next adrenaline rush. He sets up and performs the most incredible tests of strength, stamina and skill, using his very own Fire-type Pokemon.
Tyler is always testing himself. If a stunt leaves him injured, he repeats it the very next week. As such he has broken a total of 56 different bones, and has a reputation at the Pokemon centre for injuries to his Pokemon. Despite this, he never pushes them, for he accepts that everybody has limitations, he's just yet to reach his.
Tyler battles like he lives: to the next level. He has been known to reject challengers who he feels are not skilled or devoted enough, but when he battles, he battles relentlessly and brutally, with his Pokemon pulling off complicated and devastating moves. The best way to fight him is not to think, not to plan, but just to go ahead and let your instincts battle for you.

Probably my flashiest Gym Leader. For some reason I think he would be the perfect opponent for Ash Ketchum, since they're both impulsive.
